ericEric Ericson

The Big Lizard

A long time computer enthusiast – going back to the early 80s learning COBOL while still in high school – Eric is the owner and wears many hats with Lizardwebs. He happily spends his days in front of three computer screens looking at website analytics and figuring out how to get sites to rank even higher.

Turning out his first commercial website as a side venture in 1997 while working with Nortel Networks, Eric has been providing digital marketing / web services to clients ever since. Various contract development stints during that time included working with local companies including Nortel Networks, Ericsson, BASF, State of North Carolina, BCBSNC, Clear Channel Networks, and others. But in the end, his interests always came back to working directly with clients to provide websites, search engine coverage, and more. Lizardwebs has now been a full-time operation for the last 9 years.

From small mom & pop operations to larger clients, he has worked with many clients across the US – and a lot in the Raleigh NC Triangle area. Creating a good quality web presence should include a solid website to base your digital marketing presence. From there, it takes, often slowly but surely, moving that site up through the search engine ranks. On-site optimizations, off-site links / citations and on-going tweaking are all part of it. And Eric enjoys every part of it – just doesn’t have as MUCH time for all those parts these days.

Most of his time is spent managing company direction and working with clients, looking at optimizations for the company itself – and quickly resolving website-related problems that inevitably arise. Where there’s a problem, there needs to be a solution and Eric is the chief problem solver.

Eric is ALMOST a North Carolinian – after about 40 years in the area. Originally from Chautauqua NY, his family moved to Smithfield in 1979. He attended Smithfield-Selma High School and later East Carolina University. Eric lives with his fiancee, Kristty, in Clayton NC. They share their home with a dog, Beagle, and three cats – Bibbie, Hoot and Mouse. Eric has been a lifelong guitar player – picks a mean acoustic and occasionally enjoys rattling windows with the Les Paul. He also spends a lot of time chasing down new restaurants on his motorcycle on the weekends.

Feel free to reach out to Eric – eric@lizardwebs.net if you would like to discuss YOUR web/search/digital marketing needs with an experienced web professional!

gregGreg Borchardt

The Web Design Lizard

Websites, websites, websites. That is all Greg talks about. His favorite saying? “We don’t just make websites that look great, we make websites that work!” It’s true; just about anybody can make a website these days, but making a website that brings in business takes skill and experience, which Greg has!

Greg was born and raised in Rochester, NY, where one eats white hots and drinks pop (as opposed to soda). After high school, Greg lived in Germany for a year as a foreign exchange student. He knew he was grasping the language over there when he discovered he was dreaming in German.

He stayed in Rochester for a while, but the grey cloudy skies that one sees up there about 9 months out of the year chased him out of there and down to Raleigh. He grew up watching ice-hockey and chose Raleigh because he wanted to live in a town that had more sun (but not too much, like Florida) and that had a hockey team.

After coming to Raleigh, he coached tykes on the fundamentals of hockey, which basically entailed showing them what to do when they were not falling down.

Greg is married with two adult step-children and one son in elementary school. His favorite activities involve doing anything with his family, even if it just doing things around the house.

Greg made his first website for a land developer over 6 years ago and the first word out of the client’s mouth when he first saw the website was, “Wow!” After showing him the full website, the client looked at Greg and said, “That is one heck of a website!” Subsequently, a new career was launched, which Greg has been happily pursuing ever since.

Greg has been with Lizardwebs for over 6 years and is happy to be a Lizard, among other things.

lizLiz Barnes

The Customer Service Lizard

Liz is an outstanding client liaison. Sometimes she can communicate with clients a lot better than the techno-geeks at Lizardwebs. Liz can get to know clients & what they want and then ensure that Lizardwebs follows through to the end so that everybody is happy.

With a degree in Marketing from East Carolina University and a background in direct marketing and account management, Liz works with Lizardwebs’ clients with digital marketing services in the areas of business reviews monitoring/feedback requests, social media management and email marketing.

She also has a knack at being able to understand a client’s vision and build a personal relationship.

In addition to Liz’s work with Lizardwebs, she developed her social media experience by co-founding a grassroots parents’ advocacy movement for children with dyslexia, called Decoding Dyslexia. This group started in NJ (where Liz lives) and has spread to all 50 states and into Canada and Bermuda, purely through the use of social media.

Camille HeadshotCamille Jones

The Social Media Lizard

One thing almost all businesses need is a strong social media presence. Camille’s skill in creating great social media content makes her a perfect complement to the services Lizardwebs provides. Camille was born and raised here in the south and loves animals & racing!

Camille has no problem carrying the weight of a company’s social media channels on her back! She does workout, after all. Thankfully, the witty posts and engaging GIFs of a booming social media account mask the strong southern accent she has from being a native of Johnston County, NC.

With a bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in public relations from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Camille has extensive knowledge of public relations strategy and helping businesses reach their target markets through digital marketing.

Outside of her work in social media management and SEO link building, Camille is a staff writer for The Fourth Turn, an online motorsports news outlet, and is a credentialed member of the NASCAR media. She is also a TESOL-certified online ESL teacher. Animals are a huge part of Camille’s life and her personal social media features more photos of her pets than of herself. You will typically find Camille with a dog, no matter where she may be!
